DFER REACTS TO CHRIS MURPHY’S RE-ELECTION

Connecticut – Today, November 6, 2018, it was confirmed that Senator Chris Murphy has been re-elected to the United States Senate. In response, Democrats for Education Reform CT (DFER CT) State Director Amy Dowell released the following statement:

“DFER CT congratulates Senator Chris Murphy on his victory tonight. We have been proud to work closely with him during his time in Congress advocating for Connecticut’s students, and we look forward to continued collaboration on behalf of our communities.

“Senator Murphy has been a leader on issues designed to strengthen our public schools. We stand ready to work with him to improve outcomes, stand up to Secretary DeVos and the Trump Administration, and do what’s necessary to ensure that every Connecticut student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of zip code.”
