Democrats for Education Reform CT Statement on Connecticut Partnership with Dalio Philanthropies

DFER-CT State Director Amy Dowell released the following statement after Governor Lamont's announcement: 

“We are grateful to Governor Lamont for fulfilling his promise of bringing people together in order to move Connecticut forward, and we commend Ray and Barbara Dalio for their investment in the future of Connecticut, the state they call home and where they've built their business. The Dalios are demonstrating a clear dedication to strengthening our public education system through innovation in order to improve schools for students and teachers. We hope the state investment in this partnership will be strategic, accountable, and that it will focus on giving students and educators in under-resourced communities the research-based, proven tools they need to succeed.”
